Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of Focussed One (“the Service”, available at focussed.one), operated by [YOUR FULL NAME], an individual (sole trader) based in the United Kingdom (“I”, “me”, “my”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
Focussed One is a free productivity tool that lets you run timed focus sessions, organise projects and tasks, and view your activity history as a heatmap.
2. Not medical or health advice
Focussed One is a productivity and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, a healthcare service, or a substitute for professional advice. Although it is designed to be ADHD-friendly, it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical or psychological condition, and nothing in it is medical, clinical, or therapeutic advice. Always consult a qualified professional for any health decisions.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or older, where your country requires) to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Your account and sign-in
Sign-in is passwordless: I email a one-time code to your address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please tell me promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, and only use an email address you are entitled to use.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights;
- upload unlawful, harmful, offensive, or infringing content;
- impersonate anyone or use a misleading username;
- attempt to access other users’ data or accounts;
- probe, scan, overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service, or use bots or scrapers to access it; or
- copy the Service to build a competing product.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create (your tasks, projects, session labels, profile text, and avatar). You grant me a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, including showing the parts you choose to make public on your profile page. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to use it.
7. Public profiles
If you set up a profile, it is accessible at a public URL and shows your name, username, title, bio, avatar, and focus statistics to anyone with the link. Don’t include anything there you wouldn’t want to be public.
8. Privacy
How I handle your personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
9. A free service, and changes to it
The Service is provided free of charge. I may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, and may set or change limits, at any time. I will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but I am not obliged to.
10. Intellectual property
The Service itself, its software, design, branding, and the “Focussed One” name, belongs to me (or my licensors) and is protected by law. These Terms don’t give you any rights in it, except to use the Service as intended.
11. Availability and “as is”
I work to keep the Service available, but I don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data won’t be lost. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Please keep your own copies of anything important.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is free, my total liability to you for any claim is limited to £50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your non-excludable statutory or consumer rights. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask me to delete your account. I may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
14. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. I will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law where you live, and may be able to bring proceedings in your local courts. This clause does not take those rights away.
16. Miscellaneous
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. My not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
